Patterson Farm Market & Tours is a Rowan County tradition, offering educational tours and fun-on-the-farm activities for kids and grown-ups for 30 years. Parents who loved our tours as youngsters are now bringing their own children to get lost in the Corn Maze and enjoy our market and Ice Cream Shop, PawPaw Carl’s Playground, strawberry picking in the spring, pumpkin gathering in the fall, and all the other activities. We offer more than 40 fun-packed activities on the farm, snacks like kettle corn, and a sheltered picnic area.

You can shop our market online, purchase season passes, and book educational tours that follow state Common Core Standards. We offer events for seniors, kids’ birthday parties, and other special events. We are open three seasons — spring, summer and fall.  In the summer, we offer Summer Fun Days and day camp experiences, as well as a market packed with seasonal produce, much of it grown here on the farm. Fall is a busy, busy time here with the Corn Maze and Educational Tours in full swing as well as afternoon activities for parents and children. In December, although the market itself is closed, we sell wholesale and retail poinsettias grown in our greenhouses, located on Millbridge Road in nearby China Grove.

And beneath all this fun, we have a greater purpose. We want the next generation to learn and appreciate farm life and the excitement — as well as the necessity — of growing food. Patterson Farm has been growing food – and the next generation of farmers – for more than 100 years. Now a fifth-generation farm, we keep our eye on the future, as we stand Farmer Strong.
